WTFAA ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how
your personal information is collected, used, and disclosed by WTFAA. This policy applies to our Chrome
Extension "WTFAA" and our website.
1. Information We Collect
A. Account Information (Google Sign-In)
When you choose to sign in with Google, we only request access to your basic profile information. Specifically:
- Email Address: Used to identify your account and syncing your subscription status.
- Name & Profile Picture: Displayed within the extension user interface for your personalization.
We DO NOT request or store your Google password, contacts, or any other private account data.
B. Extension Data
Our Chrome Extension requires certain permissions to function, but we prioritize your privacy:
- Browsing Data: We DO NOT constantly track or store your browsing history. The extension only accesses the content of the current tab when you explicitly trigger an action (e.g., clicking the "Summarize" or "Chat" button).
- User Input: Text you type into the chat interface is processed to provide AI responses.
- Local Storage: We use your browser's local storage to save your settings (e.g., preferred language, API keys). These keys are stored locally on your device and are not sent to our servers.
C. Payment Information
We do not collect or store your payment information directly. All payments are processed by our secure
reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com. Paddle may collect personal information such as your name,
address, and payment details to process transactions.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our services (e.g., generating summaries, translating content).
- Process transactions and manage your subscription.
- Respond to your comments and support requests.
3. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with trusted third-party service providers solely
for the purpose of operating our service:
- AI Models (OpenAI, Google Gemini, DeepSeek): When you use the extension features, the text
content of the page or your queries may be sent to AI providers (such as OpenAI, Google Gemini, or DeepSeek) to generate
responses. These providers are used solely for processing your request and are subject to their respective privacy policies.
- Paddle: As our Merchant of Record, Paddle processes all payments and handles
order-related data.
4. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, please be
aware that no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
5. User Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. If you wish to exercise these
rights, please contact us.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected:
- Account Data: Retained while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.
- Subscription Data: Retained for the duration of your subscription plus any period required for legal or accounting purposes.
- Local Storage Data: Stored on your device until you clear browser data or uninstall the extension.
- AI Query Data: Not stored by us. Queries are transmitted directly to AI providers and processed in real-time.
7. Cookies and Tracking
Our extension and website use minimal tracking technologies:
- Local Storage: Used to store your preferences and settings locally on your device.
- Session Data: Used to maintain your authenticated state.
- No Third-Party Trackers: We do not use analytics cookies, advertising trackers, or any third-party tracking services within the extension.
8. Children's Privacy
Our service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will promptly delete such information from our servers.

10. Chrome Web Store Compliance
We adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy. We only request permissions necessary to implement
the features of the extension and do not use them for unrelated purposes.
